It was a busy three days at Magic in Las Vegas, North America's biggest fashion tradeshow featuring thousands of clothing, jewelry, accessories and shoe brands. I came out with tons of appreciation for smaller independent brands. Like everyone else I love to shop at BCBG and other mass retailers but when you are walking the trade show floors they all start looking the same! Below are a few smaller independent brands that stood out to me.
Abby May Jewelry - I instantly fell in love with her showstopper cuffs. I bought the one that you see below. Her jewelry is made from handcrafted semi-precious stones, crystals, swarovski, metals, and leather.
Ema Savahl - Based out of Miami, this designer features hand painted dresses. Some of these gowns were absolutely gorgeous and unique. They looked deceptively sheer but once the model put a couple on, they were not too revealing.
Annabel Ingall - Her totes are an absolute classic and made of Italian leather and come in a variety of colors. The Hermes orange was my favorite but also loving the citrus neon.
Reneu - I loved their cushioned ballet flats made with Lycra covered memory foam insoles and .moeco-friendly upper materials. The latest collection is not on the website yet but my favorite were their leather look alike (made with eco-friendly materials) studded ballet flats (pictured below).
Dareen Hakim - The inscriptions on a Dareen Hakim bag reflect messages of resilience, strength, happiness, love, laughter and appreciation of beauty in life’s simple pleasures in Arabic.
