Tranquil, Luxurious, Caribbean Chic................
Last night I had the pleasure of exploring a hidden gem here in Cayman called Cotton Tree. I had no idea what I was in store for.....not only did I leave there feeling relaxed and grateful, I came to appreciate the vision and entrepreneurship of the owner, Heather Lockington. The lovely host gave us a tour of the amazing property which has four luxury private villas (though Heather prefers to call them cottages I am going to stick with villas lol). Each villa has a different view and their own unique private paradise of a yard.
We had our own two bedroom villa for the evening, Sea Grape, where no small detail was overlooked. The furnishings, Caribbean Chic, were exquisite and featured local artists such as Al Ebanks and John Broad.
The Sea Grape also had it's own sea view and private gazebo, where we enjoyed a delicious 4-course meal a la Chef Jason as we shared some laughs over the soothing sounds of the Caribbean Sea.
What I loved most about the experience was the tranquility, I felt as if we were on our own private island. I cannot wait to go back to stay for a few nights! Thank you Heather for being such a gracious host and introducing me to a new side of Cayman, off the beaten path :)
Checkout some amazing photos below, a few of which I took last night.
Bonus: Yesterday was the 24th anniversary of my family moving to Canada from Kenya so I was especially grateful. I would have never had the opportunity to live in Cayman had that not happened!
